I’m 17and moved to my new neighborhood last summer.
There is about 300 houses, so I’m expecting a decent amount of customers. I work at a kennel and have pets of my own, so I am very experienced.
Do you think my new neighbors will trust me with their pets?
How do I advertise?
What rates should I charge?
the initial formula on what to charge
is rather simple;
my method is an income statement upside down and all the acct professor’s say it
is the most logical thing they have ever
seen, and I created it 35 yrs ago.]
a; what you feel you want to put in your pocket
b. plus the taxes that would be due
c. plus your costs to provide the service
d. plus the costs to get the word out.
—add all those up. then figure out how many clients you hope to have in the
first 30 days.
if all your costs and profit totals 200, for example, and you hope to handle 12 dogs in that period of time by charging
200/12=16.5. YOU would need to charge
each owner, $16.50 to provide your service. [not commenting on the number of
hours].
all businesses use this formula if they
have a specific amount of money they
need to net [pocket] each month. if
unsure what they need to net,
they then, turn the formula over and
just guess at revenue and expenses,
and whatever remains is their pocket
money [profits.]
