When I went to an Asian grocery store, I was overwhelmed by all the ingredients I saw there. At that point, I had been living in San Francisco for a year and a half working with asian dating on their mission to bring people together, and I thought I had a pretty good idea of what Asian cuisine had to offer. I was surprised at the hundreds of different ingredients which I had never seen before. It turns out that traditional Asian foods incorporates a lot of things that just generally aren’t fed to Westerners. Exploring these aspects of Asian cooking has been a joy for me.

So what makes a good wine recipe? Come on now this is not really a very difficult question. If you fancy yourself a decent cook at all then you should be able to figure this one out for yourself. Cooking up some food and cooking up some wine are very similar processes … just as you look for balance in your food recipes you must look for balance in your wine recipes. Balance is the key to cooking anything good. Too much of any particular flavor or element and you can throw the whole dish, or in this case, jug of wine off: wine making recipes

Rice cookers and steamers are among the most versatile small appliances you can purchase. These little appliances are not just another fad tool that will end up in your appliance graveyard. They are very useful and can be used cooking many other foods than just rice. Most do that task very well making perfect rice in about twenty to thirty minutes. They can also steam vegetables and can be used to cook soups or stews.
A small rice cooker makes the perfect gift for a starving college student. In fact, a microwave rice cooker would probably be the best gift for the limited space in most dorm rooms.

Not every loaf will come out picture perfect, but that’s OK. Live and learn. If one of your modified bread maker recipes fails to rise properly, it’s still just as tasty when you dip it in that bowl of stew. Just make a note or two on how you might adjust the ingredients next time. With a bread machine and basic recipes, there really are no failures!

The cool thing about the Zojirushi Home Bakery is that it makes the bread in rectangular pans, so the bread is traditionally shaped. You avoid those tell-tale round-loaves that reveal you didn’t knead the bread yourself, but made it in your own bread machine at home. With a Zojirushi bread maker, that can be your little secret.

I have been doing some more crazy experiments with making my own wine recently, and you know one thing I have found is that as fun as it is to change recipes up a little bit and see what you can come up with, more often than not then end result is far worse than if you just stuck with the recipe in the first place … In conjunction with this I found something else out. I do not really care that most of my crazy experiments result in failure, it is just too much fun to play around with your recipes and see if you can manage to make some new, bold, and fresh. Something you have never seen or tried before. wine making recipes
