<p>1. Adjust the height of the bench for your skill level (more declined for advanced).</p>

<p>3. Do a sit up like normal while keeping your chin tucked.</p>
<p>4. On the way down, don’t let your shoulders touch the bench, but hover, then go back up.</p>
<p>This exercise is great because it lets you go below horizontal and gives you a full range of motion. </p>
<p>Using dumbbells is good because you can easily adjust the weights. </p>
<p>They’re a lot easier and safer to use than a plate on your chest.</p>
<p>Combine this exercise with some good <a href="http://verticaljumpzone.com/plyometrics/plyometrics-plyometric-exercises-drills">plyometric drills</a> and you will have a great vertical jump workout. </p>
