Help…..I am leaving in a week and the girl I thought was going to watch them is not coming through.
In the past I had high school girls come in (they sometimes take the extra time and play with the cats and dog)….

If you are licensed, insured, and bonded, talk to your vet. Most maintain lists of recommended pet sitters/ boarding kennels that they give to clients looking for that sort of thing. If you’re a responsible pet owner with a good relationship with your vet, they should be happy to place you on the recommended list.
If you don’t have a business license and the proper insurance, use caution when advertising. Around here, placing up fliers can get you targeted for a hefty fine if you don’t have the proper business license to operate.
Hi, We’re going away for a week and a neighbor is coming to watch the animals. We were wondering what to leave, so that we dont forget anything. I am usually the one who pet sit’s other animals. But this time someone will be watching ours. I just want to make sure she has everything she needs. We made up a care booklet, bought extra supplies, And made sure there would be enough. we showed her where everything was, Left phone #’s.etc. anyways, if theres anything else. let me know!
I always tape a list of things that need to be done to the outside of my cages (ferret cages, rat cage and rabbit cage) We have always made sure to get a pet sitter who has dealt with the species of pets we have and have explained in detail what needs to be done, who to watch out for (female ferret bites) and some of our pets odd habits. If your pet is on medication, make sure the sitter knows how and when to give the medication.
When my male ferret was on a diet I measured all of the meals out before hand so that the sitter would not have to do it.

He is only 9 months old and he is always with us, but we have to go away for five days. Can someone provide some advice on how to make the days go by for him. I want to get the best sitter possible. But will he long for us?
Your pup will miss you. I went on a 2 week vacation and left my dog with my sister. I made it a point to leave an old worn t-shirt of mine, so that my doggy could smell my scent. When I got back I was told she used it as her bed.

Well, I’m 13 too and i’d love to do what you want to do…all i can say is tell friends and family that have pets and possibly make flyer’s and post them up around your neighbourhood and see what happens. Also make a price depending on how much work has to be done to take care of the animal and or just take the money they give you.
I will be out of town for 2 weeks and can’t take my dog with me. She is a 9 year old very mellow chihuahua who doesn’t care for walks and her food and water is in an automatic dispenser. I would like for the dog to stay at my house and the sitter come over to let her out 3 times a day. The candidates are all within walking distance. How much should they be paid?
$30- $40 for the entire 2 weeks.
