are you aloud to have pets in your daycare?
I am thinking of getting a little kitten or dog for my daughter since she tends to get bored alot, but i do daycare 5 days a week is it ok to have a pet in the house?
I do daycare and have a cat… my old daycare ladies had dogs… however, some of your parents might object or not feel comfortable with animals in the house – i say do what is best for your family even if it means a kid gets pulled.. also, make sure no one is allergic or terrified of animals for some reason…
Make sure none of the kids are allergic, and keep the pet in a separate room- you should be fine.

There are regulations about pets in the house, you have to contact the place that licensed you (I’m assuming and hoping you ARE licensed to do daycare) and they will tell you the rules and restrictions. Usually there are shot requirements and limits as to where you can put their food/catbox and requirements for cleaning the yard, etc. Also you’ll have to notify all the parents in writing to let them know you’ll be bringing an animal into the house in case any of the children has fears or allergies that could cause a concern.
My mom did daycare for years with cats and dogs and small animals/birds in the house, as long as you follow the rules it’s fine.
