How much do pet sitters charge?

On average, how much do pet sitters charge? What services do they provide?

Depends where you live. It is what ever you want to charge. Owners will pay you almost anything to do the dirty deed. Charge extra for extras like yard clean up off poop, feeding, playing. Set yourself a basic price. Use your computer to design a letter, use pics etc. Show basic price then what the extras will cost. Have a program where you can print them up a receipt. You can have this right on the letter. Have a billing space on it where you check the boxes next to each item and leave room for the grand total. Like:

Per Dog:

___ basic price $25
___ shampoo $10
___ flea treament $5
___ feeding and fresh water $5
___ play $12
___ poop removal in the yard $10

___ Grand total

You put the prices you wish to charge. This is just an example.

Have the print large enough so older people can read it. Have a pic of a dog, and you doing some of these above things. At the top have your name, address, email address, phone number, cell

If you have your own website have where they can email you and set up appointments. You will be the most successful in your area.

It all depends what your looking for.
Your could just have your neighbor do it, for like $20 and ask them to feed water and play with your pet

or you can send them to a kennel association, where it is alot more expensive but you get alot more care, such as walks, lots of petting, great food, toys to play with

  2. I think it depends on location, how far they have to drive and what care you need them to provide. My friend does pet sitting and dog walking. She charges depending on if the animals require her to be at the home constantly or if they have to come to her kennels. If they just need a walk and feed or if they need med. given. grooming, bathing etc., I think she usually charges on average about $11 hour if she has to drive within 15 min. and $13 hour if she has to drive farther. $150 a week if they stay at her kennels and she has to provide the feeding.
