I’m trying to learn how to do this too…when I first got mine, he hadn’t been handled very much, and trying to pick him up put me right back at the beginning and I had to earn his trust back again.
I’m really not sure where to begin because my rabbit doesn’t have a cage, he lives in my house and hops around as he pleases…any advice?

I have a pet bunny and she just will not let me pick her up… When I let her run loose in the yard and want her to go back in her den, I just use 2 square pieces of plywood and guide her towards home… She of course wags her tail all the way, trying to find sneaky ways to outsmart me… Often she does. I love her to death

You have to keep on trying picking up your rabbit. Petting it, and picking it up. Soon it will get used to it. I’m in this process too, and it’s working with by bunny.

i hold my rabit a lot different, every rabit is defferent and mine would freak out if it was held like that. not all bunnies are that calm and most bunnies dont like their feet held together like that i give this video half a star

see a vet, there might be something wrong with your rabbit if it’s acting differently and not like itself. if it’s not unusual just make sure you cuddle him/her and make the rabbit feel more comfortable with being handled.

Okay my rabbit let me pick he up a couple of times, a coule of weeks after i got him then,like one mmorning i went to pick him up and he kept on jumping away from me!!!!I have tryed to pick him up but he jumps away,when i finaly get to pick him up he squerms and wriggles away,he just seems like he does not wanna be picked up!!!!So if any body has any advice please tell me thx XxXx

her way might work for her rabbit, but that would not work on mine. what i do is scoop one hand under the belly while the other hand, i use to scoop my bunnies’ butts. if i did it her way, they would kick and jump off and twist something or break their nails and stuff…
