How much do you get paid for baby sitting?

i never have baby sat before but i did puppy sit for my sister for 2 days and got paid 25$

Your rate will depend on your area, number of kids, and ages. I tend to charge 7$ an hour for 3 kids. If I have a newborn or toddler I charge an extra dollar. I am a little on the cheaper side because of the economy which is keeping people from going out often. If I charge a little less, I get more families that want me to sit because, after all, babysitting is actually very expensive! When I get more families though, I actually get the better end of the deal! I recommend going to this website: http://babysitters.sittercity.com/rate_calculator.html They will give you the rates depending on your area and the number of kids you are babysitting. However, this is the MAX amount you should set. I recommend doing somewhat less.

Example: For me it said charge 9$ for 1 kid with a sitter that has 0-1 years experience. From then on it adds a dollar for every extra kid.

P.S. I personally always keep it at 0-1 years experience no matter how long you’ve done it.

  6. well babysitting a kid..? or a puppy, puppy could be easier..but when I used to babysit alot the kid was usually asleep and I just sat from like 9-12 or so and watched tv, got like ten bucks a hour but it was for my cousin..depends if you know them or not anything over five bucks a hour is good but if you are doing a favor and puppy sitting dont expect alot of cash I would say what you got is about right for your sister since shes family and not some stranger coming to your business or somehting
