How to teach a pet rat to walk on back legs (.. three steps)
September 72009
Womble takes us through the steps he took in learning to walk on his back legs.
Again when trying this, don’t spend too long training the rat each day, 5 minutes a day is long enough and even at that they are clever enough to pick this up in a few days. This is important too to make sure they are not over-fed during training.
Also don’t be in too much of a hurry to increase the step count, take time to get the rats used to the trick and it will make increasing the steps later easier and more stable. Best to basically let your rat dictate how quickly they learn it.
Finally, I’m really not overly happy with this video so i may “re-do” it at some stage, so apologies if its not helpful. More coming soon.

Hey guys,
My sister needed me to take care of her dogs while she went away. I got a call her first day away and wanted to know how they were. So I made this lil video for her.
If you have never seen a helicopter walk on it’s skids. Here you go. Jason Krause at the 2008 AMA show.
As inspiring as her story is, and as heartwarming as it is to know that this poor doggie has a loving family and a happy life… there is still something patently unsettling abiout watching her walk.
Amazing Dog named “Faith” only has two legs and can walk upright!
